The company was founded by James Starr, a CIMA-qualified finance professional who has been working in finance since 2007. After an early career spent at Thomas Cook for over a decade, James set out to expand his horizons. He took on roles across multiple industries, gaining invaluable insight into different business models and work cultures.
In 2019, James joined Cordic Ltd, a leading taxi dispatch software provider, where he managed the full finance function: budgeting, billing, VAT, payroll, credit control, audits, and implemented financial controls. His most recent role at Redgate Software involved financial planning and analysis for a company supporting software developers and data professionals worldwide.
Through all these experiences, one thing remained constant: the importance of making finance approachable, meaningful, and genuinely helpful for businesses looking to grow.
